TEACHER’S DAY GRATITUDE

Name of the Event: “TEACHERS DAY GRATITUDE”

Organized by: SEEE members.

Event description: “TEACHER’S DAY GRATITUDE” is a small event conducted to show gratitude to teachers and thanking them for their constant effort.

"Anubhavavasanameva vidya phalam which means the fruit of knowledge, the fruit of vidya is Anubhav" said Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan.

As an academic, philosopher, and statesman, Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan (1888-1975) was one of the most recognized and influential Indian thinkers in academic circles in the 20th century. On the auspicious occasion of Dr. Radhakrishnan's birthday, his students and friends requested him to allow them to celebrate his birthday but in reply, Dr. Radhakrishnan said that “Instead of celebrating my birthday separately, it would be a privilege if 5th September is observed as Teachers Day”.

Teachers are the pillars of our society, they play an extraordinary part in our lives, equipping them with knowledge, and strength and making them learn to face the hardships of life. They involve themselves in molding their students into responsible, disciplined and better citizens of the country. Teachers are the cornerstones of our future and act as a foundation for creating better version of ourselves. This day is celebrated to show our acknowledgment and recognition of the hard work put in by our teachers towards our development.

On this day we started event by lighting Diya and remembering Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan. We played a video dedicated to our teachers. Afterwards, we conducted a small game where each and every teacher shares special memories of them which took them way back and brought smiles on their faces. The event ended with a cake cutting and thankyou speech by our respected EEE department HOD G.V.E. Satish Kumar sir.
